Project scope
- Prepare a migration strategy and migrate DB2 subsystems to version 8
- Identify DB2 performance issues of production and development subsystems
- Analyse DB2 performance problems and providing developers with solutions
- Install and upgrade DB2 Performance Expert and DB2 Admin Tool
- Provide support / performance problem resolution for a purchasing application running DB2 Universal Database for AIX

Results
- Creation of an effective DB2 migration strategy
- Successful migration of development subsystems to DB2 V8 within the scheduled timescale
- Improvement of DB2 application and subsystem performance
