Project scope
- Recommend changes to improve the production z/OS sysplex workload manager policy and procedures
- Implement the agreed policy and procedural changes
- Evaluate the use of either EPILOG SMF or RMFMonitor III data for future long-term performance problem analysis
- Identify and report on workflow problems
- Investigate and implement the functionality of OMEGAMON XE/DE

Results
- Production and implementation of a simplified workload manager policy and procedures
- Improvement to workload performance indices to near optimum value
- The set-up and implementation of processes to capture data and store it using RMF Monitor III
- Creation of bespoke code to produce and store long-term performance summaries
- Implementation of new OMEGAMON XE/DE functionality
