UNIX SYSTEM ADMINISTRATORS

Summary: Our multi-national Dutch customer requires a number of UNIX System Administrators (AIX, LINUX) for October 1st starts for initial 12 month contracts. The Unix Systems team is responsible for the AIX/Linux server infrastructure and currently the environment consists of 230 server installations divided between AIX on IBM System p, Linux on IBM System p and Linux on x86_64 hardware. The Unix Systems team performs the design, planning, implementation, maintenance and support of the Unix server infrastructure. Applicants should have 4 years proven experience in the partitioning, installation, customisation and administration of a complex net of AIX operating systems and system related software such as HACMP in a complex and networked environment. Therefore excellent AIX and Linux knowledge is a requirement as is proven experience in performance analysis. In addition any knowledge of VMWare and/or Xen, CSM and LDAP would be advantageous. The working language is English however the ability to converse in either French or German would be beneficial as would education to degree level. An attractive rate is offered for what is a long term contract within an excellent environment with extensive sports and social facilities.
