Summary: Our multi-national Dutch customer has a requirement for an Aperture Vista Database Administrator for an initial 6 month contract based for the first 2 months in Holland and thereafter in Munich. The customer operates a mission critical IT environment including applications on IBM zSeries, xSeries and pSeries hardware and the activities involve Data Center Management and IT Operations on the three hardware platforms. The role will encompass the creation and maintenance of the Aperture Vista repository (vista symbols and vista drawings), proposal of standards and maintenance of documentation, the management of the Aperture Vista application (i.e. backup/recovery data and start/stop server) and the support of the Aperture Vista integration with other systems such as Tivoli Service Desk. In addition the role includes support of the implementation of a new version 500 of Aperture Vista application, to manage the migration of the current version 400 to version 500 and to develop an Aperture web portal application. Additional requirements will include advanced development knowledge of the Aperture Vista application 400 and 500, advanced administration knowledge (DBA) of Microsoft SQL Server on W2K server and the capability to write technical documents. The working language is English however the ability to converse in German is a mandatory requirement while education to degree level would be advantageous.
